American Military Encouragement Network (AMEN) provides assistance and encouragement to homeless veterans active and reserve military personnel service men and women, and military families in Oregon and SW Washington.
When service men and women return from deployment sometimes they are unable to return to jobs that sustain their families. AMEN provides food boxes each month to help them through. Not only do we do that each month but at Thanksgiving additional food is provided. At Christmas we also deliver gifts for their children, items that they often can not afford. These are in addition to food boxes.
Programs We Serve
AMEN provides food boxes each month to National Guard and active duty military families across Oregon and southwest Washington state.
AMEN has partnered with Do Good Multnomah and Greater Good NW to furnish around 3,000 pounds of food each week for homeless veterans and underserved individuals sheltered in the Clackamas and Multnomah County area.
AMEN works with VFW halls statewide to provide food for veterans facing food insecurity.
AMEN provides food to veterans and their families in the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde, Umatilla and Warm Springs.
We cannot do this by ourselves. AMEN is a charitable non-profit organization doing God’s work among veterans, active and retired military members and their families. It takes funds to accomplish this work and like any charity it needs help from all those who share our vision.
All gifts to AMEN are tax-deductible. Our mailing address is: American Military Encouragement Network, P.O. Box 1923, Clackamas, OR 97015.
